Online Leave Applications
We recently held an online session to showcase our upcoming Online Leave Application software (also known as eServices).
As part of the demo we highlighted some of the advantages, including how:
  • Employees can see how much leave they are entitled to before submitting an application (The payroll website links directly to SynergySoft, so leave entitlements displayed are always current)
  • Once an Employee's submitted an application they can view its progress at any time, instead of having to contact their HR or Payroll Officer (thereby taking up their time) to find the information.
  • Managers are automatically notified by email whenever any of their Employees submit/change a leave application via the website that an application is waiting an action from them (e.g. approve/reject the application), thereby speeding up the approval process.
  • The payroll website also includes a simple to use Leave Calendar that allows a Manager to see when all their Employees have upcoming leave planned which Managers can use to make informed decisions about whether to approve or reject applications that have been submitted.
  • Payroll officers can import approved leave applications into Synergysoft. Leave details are pulled through directly from the leave Application that the Employee submitted into SynergySoft, meaning that the payroll officer doesn't need to re-enter any details. Once imported into SynergySoft, pays are processed as normal.
  • Payroll officers can easily track the steps that applications have been through during the leave approval process, using the Audit Trail. The Audit Trail provides a nice snapshot that shows exactly when a leave Application was submitted, if it was edited/approved/rejected/cancelled and if so, by whom.

  • To see how easy it is to use the Online Leave Application software to submit, track and process leave Applications online, you may like to have a look at the Online Leave Applications User Guide (beta version) on the IT Vision website.

Community Information and Bookings (Coming soon)
The Community Information and Bookings User Guide has been updated for V7.1 and will be available shortly.
Amongst other things, the Guide explains how to:
  • Record details about Events that take place within Shire boundaries.
  • Record details about Organisations that book out Facilities and/or hold Events.
  • Enter details about Council Facilities that can be booked.
  • Create Bookings from either the Bookings or Booking Enquiries program.
  • See which Bookings already exist for all your Facilities and check before Booking a Facility whether it is available on the date required.
  • Link a Booking to a Debtor so the Booking can be paid for by debtors invoice, if you choose to do so.
  • How to create Reports, such as Booking Confirmations and the Event Calendar.

  • Release Documentation
